Abraham Lincoln items sell at New York auction

A souvenir copy of the Emancipation Proclamation signed by Abraham Lincoln has attracted big money at auction in New York.It sold for 688-thousand dollars to an unidentified dealer. It’s believed to be one of about 15 surviving copies from an oversize printing in 1864.The document was one of a number of items auctioned from the estate of the late publishing magnate, Malcolm Forbes. Lincoln items were top sellers, including the doctor’s report detailing his death and autopsy. That sold for $240,000.
