More vehicles seized in connection with nun swindling scam

Federal authorities have seized more vehicles in connection with the indictment of Woodrow Hayes Sr. of Haughton, who is accused of swindling local nuns out of millions of dollars, according to Danny Lawler with Lawler Auctions. A red 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche show truck was found this week in the Baton Rouge area. Like most of the other vehicles on the auction block Saturday, the truck has been customized with suede leather seats and even LED accent interior lighting, Lawler said.The FBI also seized a 2004 Chevrolet Avalanche truck that was believed to have been taken to Tennessee after agents began looking for it. This vehicle is pink and customized with matching suede leather seats, a double moon roof and other extras,
Lawler said.These and other items seized in connection with the indictment are expected to be auctioned Saturday.
