Lennon Monroe and Liz Taylor Memorabilia

John Lennon memorabilia, including the suit he wore on the Abbey Road album cover, fetched top prices lastweekend at a Las Vegas celebrity auction Lennon’s white suit – famously depicted on the “pedestrian-crossing” cover of the 1969 album – sold for $118,000 US.
The auction, held in Las Vegas Saturday, also saw the sale of the 1953 Austin Princess hearse Lennon drove in Imagine for $150,000 US to Japanese entertainer Princess Tenko.
Other celebrity items placed on the block included a 1961 appointment book that once belonged to movie goddess Marilyn Monroe, which sold to online auction site goldenpalace.com for $16,000 US, and a headdress Elizabeth Taylor wore for the film Cleopatra, which sold for $13,500 US.
