Published October 31st, 2005
The gold coin collection of a Boston Red Sox executive is expected to set a world’s record of more than $15 million when it is sold in Dallas this Thursday, November 3, 2005, by Heritage Galleries & Auctioneers of Dallas, Texas (www.HeritageCoins.com).
The collection of coins with historic links to President Theodore Roosevelt was assembled by Phillip H. Morse, a Vice Chairman and co-owner of the baseball club.
“With a conservative pre-sale estimate of at least $15 million, this will be the world’s most valuable one-owner, single-session rare coin auction. Two of the coins are expected to set individual record prices over $2 million each,” said Greg Rohan, President of Heritage Galleries & Auctioneers.
