Online, live Benefit Art Auction to feature Norton artist

The jewelry of Norton artist, Karen Devnew, will be part of a wonderful collection of contemporary art to be auctioned to the highest bidder on Saturday, Nov. 12, during the Attleboro Arts Museum’s 14th Annual Benefit Auction. The auction contains over $50,000 of donated art from more than 100 nationally and regionally acclaimed artists and represents an extraordinary opportunity for the community to purchase original art. This will be Devnew’s first appearance at the annual event.

     Through the power of the Internet, the auction is also currently available online at www.attleboromuseum2005.cmarket.com, where you can browse through images of the art, place bids and even e-mail the auction to your friends - all from the comfort of your desktop. Those who want to preview the art in person can do so admission-free at the Museum through Nov. 12th. Museum hours are Tuesday through Saturday 10 a.m.- 5 p.m., Wednesday 10 a.m. - 8 p.m., and Sunday noon - 4 p.m.
Robin Starr, of Skinner, Inc., a premier auction and appraisal firm, will conduct the live auction. Starr is an American and European art expert at Skinner who has conducted benefit auctions throughout New England for institutions like the DeCordova Museum and the Montserrat College of Art.
