Board fines car auctioneer

The Colorado regulatory board has fined Denver car auctioneer John Sharp $70,000 but concluded investigators overreacted by accusing him of deliberately shorting several charities.
“Enough is enough,” said Bob Feder, a member of the Colorado Motor Vehicle Dealer Board that earlier this month reinstated the licenses of Sharp’s two used-car dealerships, Public Auto Auction and Family Trucks & Vans.
