Evansville-based Dean George Auction Service is being recommended by a Rock County panel to handle the auction of the former Rock County Courthouse in Beloit.
If approved by the full county board the courthouse will be sold through an auction, similar to the former Clinton Middle School which netted $200,000 for the Clinton Community School District at its April 30 auction. The former courthouse was appraised in 2003 at $237,000.
