Sales top $70,000 in benefit auction

Total sales from Saturday’s annual auction at Adriel
School in West Liberty exceeded $70,000, school officials reported.
More than 250 items were auctioned to benefit the abused
and neglected children Adriel serves.
A quilt donated by Zion Mennonite Women of Archbold
sold for $2,600 and was the top selling quilt of the day. The Star Variation
pattern was completed in moss, brick and tan.
Adriel is a not-for-profit agency serving children and
families that was started as an orphan’s home by the Mennonite Church
in 1896. Now a Mennonite
Health Services affiliate, Adriel provides residential and foster care
youth placements in 26 Ohio counties.
