Three auction firms eyed for Beloit courthouse sale

A Rock County panel will be interviewing three firms seeking to handle the auction of the former courthouse in Beloit.
The Rock County General Services Committee reviewed three proposals from auction firms and decided Tuesday to hear more details from all three. Representatives will be invited to the Sept. 18 meeting, explained Supervisor Ron King.The meeting is scheduled to be open to the publicThe committee plans to give each representative about 15 minutes at the meeting and hopes to find out more about each firms’ fee schedule, advertising strategies and if Internet bidding will be available.
