United Way launches online auction

Published October 6th, 2005

United Way of Delaware County is running
online auctions now through Oct. 28 as part of its annual
fundraising campaign.

All proceeds from the auctions at www.unitedwaybay.org will benefit
United Way.

Ryan Tolle, a commercial loan officer from First
Merchants Bank, suggested and led the project after seeing a
similar auction in another county last year, according to Sarah
Duecker, community service director for United Way.

Tolle said the local business community had
supported the effort by donating such items as a David Dale
watercolor painting, gift baskets, savings bonds, autographed items
and a variety of gift cards for restaurants and businesses.

New items will be added weekly until the auction
ends, according to a press release.

To bid on any of the items, go to www.unitedwaybay.org and
register. All items won can be picked up at the United Way of
Delaware County office, 500 N. Walnut St. in Muncie.
