With the erection of the largest clear-span tent in North America and the addition of state trust land, WestWorld is positioned to retain its biggest attractions and even add amenities, city officials said.

Scottsdale outbid housing developers at a state auction this week, offering $47.2 million for 80 acres of land north of WestWorld that will help provide as many as 8,000 parking spaces for the Barrett-Jackson Classic Car Auction in January and the FBR Open golf tournament in February.
