A Chicago area couple who ran an ad agency for 30 years are turning to the internet to sell their nearly $4 million home.
Lorraine and Ira Greenberg are using an online auction to sell their gated Bannockburn home. With an asking price of $3.9 million, it`s been on the market for a year.
The 7,000-square-foot property with a sculptured garden, quiet pond, gazebo, tennis court and pool was listed Thursday along with two other Lake County luxury homes on www.luxurybid.com, one of a growing number of Web sites that sell only high-end properties, the Chicago Tribune said. Bidding continues through Monday.
The others are an Italian village home with ornate architecture in Highland Park and a French provincial next to the Ivanhoe Country Club and golf course.
