Six Dunkin’ Donuts Stores Sold In Bankruptcy Auction

Published August 25th, 2005

Six Dunkin’ Donuts stores have pulled in more than $4 million in a bankruptcy auction.
The stores were put up for auction Thursday after the owner of the franchises filed for bankruptcy following disputes with the doughnut chain.
Four of the stores are in downtown Providence. The others are at the Warwick Mall and in Burrillville.
The buyers are a pair of businessmen from Massachusetts who already own several Dunkin’ Donuts stores in the Northeast.
They said they will keep all the stores open once the sale is finalized.
